The Friends is a local heritage charity, based in Odiham, Hampshire.
The Friends was founded in 1986 with the aim of protecting the fabric of the church building. The charity makes financial contributions towards the maintenance, repair and restoration of the building of All Saints Church, Odiham, together with its churchyard. All Saints is the village’s only Grade 1-listed building and is a heritage and community resource for everyone. The charity’s aim is to ensure that the church remains a community, cultural and historic asset for future generations in Odiham.
Since it began making grants in 1994, the Friends has given half a million pounds to the church building and churchyard. This includes substantial donations to support:
- new lighting and heating;
- repairs to the roof and supporting pillars;
- drainage works; and
- the churchyard.
The Friends can only carry out its work thanks to the continued generous support of its members for this historic building and important community asset.
